6 Structural Design

Structural Works has particular expertise in the efficient design of housing and low-rise structures including medium density apartments utilising multi-residential timber-framed construction. We traditionally handle large volumes of typical residential structures and have developed systems to provide efficient designs for the benefit of our clients.

The company has extensive experence in footing design including waffle raft, raft slab, strip/pad footings and piled footing systems. Efficiencies in design are driven through close cooperation with our geotechnical division.

Our commercial division has expertise in the design of residential, commercial and light industrial structures incorporating portal frames, pre-cast panels, industrial slabs, bored piers/continuous piles, shotcrete walls, retaining structures as well as masonry, steel and concrete members.
