Inspections
Distressed Building Inspections/Dilapidation Surveys are undertaken by experienced Engineering/Building Technicians.
A Scope of Work is defined which generally comprises an internal and external inspection of the structure, recording of floor levels, compilation of crack type and location in structure and may include soil sampling for moisture content. The fieldwork is carried out with reference to AS 1726, AS 1289, AS 2870-1996, The Foundation and Footings Society (Vic) Inc recommendations on special provisions for site investigations and the Building Commission Guide to Standards and Tolerances.
A report is produced which states the likely cause/s of the cracking/distress and can include contouring of the level results. The Report includes photographs of the distress and provides recommendations for remedial work.
