Inspections

Site inspections to confirm compliance with design specifications, provide solutions for constructuion issues or to identify potential factors relating to buidling distress are undertaken by experienced engineering and building professionals.

For distressed building inspections a Scope of Works is defined which generally comprises:

  • an internal and external inspection of the structure
  • recording of floor levels
  • compilation of crack type and location within the structure and geotechnical investigations as required

The fieldwork is carried out with reference to AS 1726, AS 1289, AS 2870-2011, The Foundation and Footings Society (Vic) Inc recommendations on special provisions for site investigations and the Building Commission Guide to Standards and Tolerances.
