Building Permit Packages

In addition to the regular services of soil testing, level feature surveys and engineering slab and structural designs for residential projects, Structural Works also offers a 'one-stop shop' for the provision of a total Building Permit package system.

A building permit package can provide significant benefits by helping to streamline the entire building process and reduce client's administrative burden.

Structural Works has over 10 years experience in providing building permit 'package' systems to several residential builders. The company has both the organisational structure and systems to efficiently provide this invaluable service. Importantly we have built up sound working relationships with invaluable contacts within development companies, local councils and water authorities.

The whole building permit package system can be considered as a two-part process. Stage 1 involves preliminary works (soil testing, level surveys and property information) to enable preparation of working drawings and job costing/contract signing. Stage 2 is the engineering design/building permit stage which includes the engineering design (footing and structural design for the proposed structure), the building permit checking process and issuing of the building permit.

Four mandatory inspections (pre-slab, slab reinforcement, frame and final) are then carried out throughout the construction process to enable issue of the Certificate of Occupancy.
